چکیده

This paper is devoted to determining whether the addition of geological information can improve resource estimate mineral resources. The geochemical data used come from 116 drill holes in Nkout East iron deposit southern Cameroon. These are modeled on Surpac and Isatis softwares represent 3D distribution deposit. Statistical analysis then a variographic study performed spatial variability iron. Estimation domains were defined based results analyses. Four determined. saprolitic domain particular; poor or fresh rocks such as amphibolites, granites, gneisses; rich oxidized (BIF) metasediment domain. Block modeling resource. grade each block was estimated by using ordinary kriging composites also consisted comparing two types estimate, notably global estimate. cross-validation made it possible authenticate obtained models. From this comparison, estimation brings more precision precisely error while if we take into account point clouds predicted values, provides best results.

Nonlinear disjunctive kriging for the estimating and modeling of a vein copper deposit

ABSTRACT Estimation of mineral resources and reserves with low values of error is essential in mineral exploration. The aim of this study is to estimate and model a vein type deposit using disjunctive kriging method. Disjunctive Kriging (DK) as an appropriate nonlinear estimation method has been used for estimation of Cu values. For estimation of Cu values and modelling of the distributio...

Geostatistical and multi-fractal modeling of geological and geophysical characteristics in Ghalandar Skarn-Porphyry Cu Deposit, Iran

This work aims at figuring out the spatial relationships between the geophysical and geological models in a case study pertaining to copper-sulfide mineralization through an integrated 3D analysis of favorable target. The Ghalandar Skarn-Porphyry Cu Deposit, which is located in NW Iran, is selected for this research work. Three geophysical surveys of direct current electrical resistivity and in...

Mineralogical and physical beneficiation studies for iron extraction from Bardaskan titanomagnetite placer deposit

In this work, a bench-scale process was developed using mineral-processing methods to recover iron from a placer deposit located in Bardaskan, Khorasan-e-Razavi, Iran. The mineralogical studies were performed by X-ray Diffraction (XRD), X-ray Fluorescence (XRF), Electron Probe Micro-Analyzer (EPMA), and an optical microscope. These studies indicated that titanomagnetite, magnetite, and hematite...

Genesis of the Tang Zagh iron deposit by using mineralogical and geochemical data, Hormozgan province

The Tang Zagh iron deposit is located about 117 km Northeast of Bandar Abbas, Hormozgan Province in the structural folded-thrusted zone of the Zagros basin. Iron mineralization occurs in the form of iron oxides (hematite) within the salt dome and/or in fractures and between the layers of the younger strata with the Tertiary age. Based on the microscopic studies, dolomitic fragments of the host ...
